Individual Counselling

What is social work and how can it help?

Social work is a helping profession that explores how a persons bio-psycho-social context informs their experience and sometimes suffering. People come to individual counselling for all kinds of reasons: to get help for mental health challenges, to work on specific goals, to process difficult experiences, to get support in relation to big life transitions or stressors... Sometimes people come to counselling without really knowing the reason, and other times people come because somebody else wants them to, like a family member, a partner, or a boss.  Individual counselling can help you with emotional regulation, build new ways of approaching relationships and coping with problems, or make changes that you think might help you lead a more satisfying life.
